The Twilight sensation kicked off her Louboutins and made her way down the no-camera carpet area to discuss her experience in taking up this role. A very down to earth (and barefoot) Stewart gushed to about her poetry which was incorporated into the script and development of her character. "I mean I've been writing BS since I was in middle school when they tell you to start writing stuff. But specifically for this film I did write a couple things that were just so spot on, I had to share it with Pete. It kind of helped and felt good to share. I definitely have poetry as a serious outlet so if something really affects me it finds its way into stuff that I write."
She continued on, saying that she would even consider publishing a book of her poetry. "I am definitely going to do something with it at some point."
Despite the difference in this serious character compared to her previous roles, Stewart's performance in the film has been acclaimed by critics as "transfixing". The actress says it changed her as a person. "I think every step towards finishing any project, not even specific to doing movies, but any creative venture that takes up so much of you for so long is going to shape you and make you who you are at the other end."
